Man there is nothing like sailing 10 km up the river and then realizing that you’re up the creek with no toilet paper. That’s the situation we found ourselves in one weekend. Fortunately there is a community up the river with a store. With a mission we headed from Pinhey’s Point to Constance Bay in order to provision. It had been years since we stopped in a Constance so we took the opportunity to check it out.
This community on the Ottawa river is the closest you’ll get to beach living in the area. It is a pretty nice spot but prone to flooding. It does however have a well stocked corner store with a LCBO outlet in it so it has that going for it. Actually quite convenient for those times when you forget important provisions.
We ended up the weekend back at Baskins Beach where I got us stuck in the mud. C’est la vie.
