Now that the mornings are a little darker and there’s a coolness in the air, its time to warm up your morning routine with a nice bowl of hot “loaded” oatmeal to start your day. This is a creamy oatmeal with hints of cinnamon, maple and vanilla. To make it even better we suggest topping your breakfast with all your favourites. Berries, seeds, nuts or whatever you fancy. 1/2 cup of rolled oats
2/3 cups of oat milk (or other dairy free milk)
1 Tbsp of almond or peanut butter (optional)
1 Tbsp of maple syrup
1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1/8 tsp of salt

Dried fruit
Maple syrup

Directions
- To a medium sized pot over medium heat add the oats and oat milk.
- Stir until the mixture starts to thicken.
- Add the nut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt.
- Continue to stir until the oatmeal thickens to the desired consistency.
- Serve in a bowl with your favourite toppings.
Notes
- You can always add a little more milk if you like your oatmeal on the thinner side.
