The joy of pouring foundation piers

One of the hardest jobs we have had to tackle so far has been digging and pouring foundation piers. While the soil is mostly sand it is still a big job to dig down the 5′ necessary to avoid frost problems. Anyway it is a job that needs doing so we press on in our goal of having an off grid cabin in the woods.
