If someone gave you these chocolate and date energy bites in a fancy box with a bow you would think they came from a fancy shop. They’re super tasty and the texture is excellent. They contain dates and almonds for energy and a hint of chocolate and coconut to tie it all together. The dates are a great binder so these bites travel well and don’t crumble. You can take a few with you hiking or biking or when you just need a little nibble to make it through the day. Be careful though, you could eat all 12 in one sitting without too much trouble.

1 cup of pitted dates
1 cup of almonds
1/4 cup of shredded coconut
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
Pinch salt
Water
Directions
- Add all the ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until a thick dough forms. You can add a little water as necessary to make the mixture blendable.
- Form the the dough into roughly 12 bite sized balls and refrigerate.
